Student Learning Examples
In the 2016-2017 school year, I decided to take my teaching to a whole new level. I used a flipped-classsroom project-based learning model. Not all of the following examples are what you would call mastery, but they are true forms of students' understanding and learning process. In my leadership class, students were to present a variety of topics showing their critical, creative thinking, developing positive habits, and developing great presentation skills through TedTalks.

In my biology classes, students showed their learning using project based learning through videos to show their understanding of cell transport and genetics.

It was a great experience getting a clearer understand of my students' learning. Students are usually reluctant at first, wanting you to tell them what to do and what to know, so creating habits of taking responsibility for their learning was part of the process. http://www.bie.org/ was a great resource to get started using project-based learning in my class. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
